Join The Team

We are looking for one or two people to join the team at our friendly and lively community shop, which is the hub of the village of Marchington.

 

The Shop is looking to permanently employ one or two individuals for a total of 20 hours per week over 4 or 5 weekday mornings, starting at 7.30 am. These hours and the days are flexible, depending on candidates’ availability. So the 20 hours can be split in a number of different ways. 

 

Apart from serving customers and working with the volunteer team and other staff, you will be responsible for shop appearance, stocking, pricing, volunteer liaison, till and cash reconciliation and customers’ newspaper accounts.  

 

The ideal candidate will be customer-orientated, flexible, professional in approach, have good attention to detail, and be resilient and punctual.  You will need to be over 18, as the shop sells alcohol. There may be an opportunity for the role to be shared over the week, depending on suitable candidates.
